Diagnostic assessments

The assessment process is lengthy and involves interviews, completing checklists and the assessment administration itself. Sometimes contact with your child’s day care, pre/school is an important part of this process, and this can also contribute to the time taken in this process. All of this will be discussed with you during the initial appointment, and you will be kept updated throughout the process. 

 

Below is a list of our developmental and educational assessments available for all children aged up to 17 years:

• IQ, giftedness, school readiness, and early entry programs (to pre-school and primary school).

• Learning/Academic assessments to identify Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties (including Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia)

• Intellectual Disability / Developmental delay (including funding applications).

• Global Developmental Delay (GDD).

• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

• Functional Capacity / Adaptive Functioning.

• Behavioural assessments and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

• Mental Health (eg Anxiety, selective mutism, OCD, depression).

• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

• Neuropsychological assessment – Refined tests of attention language, in-depth Memory testing, executive functioning.
